Sandown Terms and Conditions
Sandown Coachworks (Hersham) Ltd, Sandown Coachworks Camberley Ltd & Neate Automotive Ltd T/A Sandown Coachworks Heathrow.
2. If you place an order or make a booking via the phone, internet, or in person, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into a contract of sale, are at least 18 years old, and reside in the UK.
3. Sandown Coachworks will provide details of the cost of each car body/paint repair, car service, and any mechanical work required before the work is done. All work and costs, including additional work, must be approved by the customer before any work is carried out. Any estimate given for such work will be valid for a period of 14 days and is subject to physical inspection of the vehicle and parts prices remaining the same.
4. If the repair cannot be done within the quoted timespan due to circumstances beyond Sandown Coachworks’ control, an advisor will contact the customer and inform them accordingly – this may sometimes be due to parts not being delivered or available, or the work required may take longer to complete.
5. All work, parts, and services are subject to VAT as required by law (except MOTs).
6. Special parts, oils, or spark plugs may be required for your vehicle service/repair. These may have an additional charge, and a Sandown Coachworks advisor will inform you of the costs on the day of your service.
7. All parts used will adhere to the manufacturer’s service schedule and warranty and will be of “original equipment” (OE) standard – ensuring all warranties are validated unless otherwise agreed (verbally or in writing). Sandown Coachworks service schedules may vary; schedules are always readily available for customer inspection.
8. Once the car body repair or car service has been finished, payment will be taken straight after either by debit card, credit card, or cash. The car will then be available for collection or returned to the customer. Possession of the vehicle will NOT be passed back to the customer until he/she has paid for the cost of the works. If payment is not made, the garage is entitled to charge reasonable storage costs as listed below.
Storage charges are as follows:
- 0-6 months: £34.00 + VAT per day (outside secure CCTV storage) or £44.00 + VAT per day (inside secure CCTV).
- After 3 months: Vehicles will be deemed as abandoned, and Sandown Coachworks reserves the right to start the process of disposal to recover any unpaid invoices/charges. Additional transport costs, administration, engineer reports, valuations, etc., will be charged to the customer.
9. Removal of personal belongings from a vehicle will incur a £27.00 + VAT cost. If vehicles are moved to our storage yards and we are required to attend to the vehicle for any reason, a £70.00 + VAT yard charge will apply.
10. Sandown Coachworks does not accept liability for any damage or losses suffered by the customer while the vehicle is stored at the garage or secure storage site. This includes deterioration due to exposure to the elements, flat batteries, flat tyres, air suspensions dropping, or faults developing due to lack of use.
11. Customers have the right to cancel car body repairs, services, or other repairs at any time, provided any agreed work to date has been paid for. If no work has been started or the customer cancels insurance-related work, they are responsible for covering recovery, estimating costs, and storage fees.
12. Collection and delivery services are free within a 3-mile radius, provided repairs are carried out. Any congestion or ULEZ charges incurred during this process will be payable by the customer.
13. Sandown Coachworks will not be liable for unforeseeable losses, including those caused by external events like “acts of God,” strikes, pandemics, or government actions. Pre-existing damages or faults are not the company’s responsibility.
14. Health and safety laws will apply where relevant during the repair and servicing process.
15. Sandown Coachworks will aim to resolve disputes professionally within 28 days. If unresolved, customers may appeal to an independent body, and information on this process is available on the company’s website.
16. Payment for all goods, services, repairs, or spare parts is due on completion of work. Vehicles will not be released until full payment is received. Late payments will incur interest at 3% per week and a £25 administration fee per reminder issued.
17. All fees and charges are aligned with ABP UK BODY REPAIR INDUSTRY guidelines. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
