You can trust that every stage of the process is handled with meticulous care and attention.
Thorough Cleaning for Perfect Alloy Restoration
One of the key steps in the alloy wheel restoration process is removing the old finish, as any remaining coating can hinder the adhesion of the new finish.
Our alloy wheel paint specialists use eco-friendly chemicals to strip away the existing paint, preparing the wheels for a flawless new coat.
These chemicals effectively break down and remove the lacquer, restoring the alloy to its bare metal state. We also ensure that all chemicals are disposed of responsibly, in an environmentally friendly manner.

Thorough Cleaning for Perfect Alloy Restoration
Smoothing or sanding is a crucial step in the alloy wheel restoration process. Over time, alloy wheels can develop scratches, scrapes, and even corrosion from regular wear and tear.
The aim of sanding is to eliminate these imperfections and create a smooth, even surface for the new finish to adhere to effectively.
This process involves using progressively finer grit sandpaper and specialised tools to remove surface-level damage and ensure a flawless finish.
Sanding an Alloy Wheel
Smoothing or sanding is an essential step in the alloy wheel restoration process. Over time, alloy wheels can develop scratches, scrapes, and even corrosion due to regular wear and tear. The purpose of sanding is to eliminate these imperfections and create a smooth surface for the new finish to adhere to properly.
The process involves using progressively finer grit sandpaper and specialised tools to remove surface-level damage and scratches. For deeper cracks or indentations, we apply metallic epoxy to fill the affected areas, followed by further sanding to ensure a seamless blend with the surrounding metal. This stage is key as any remaining imperfections can show through the new lacquer, affecting the final appearance. A properly smoothed surface guarantees a durable, long-lasting finish.
Restoring the Integrity of the Alloy Wheel
At our workshop, alloy straightening and welding is a process we approach with precision and care. We begin by thoroughly inspecting the wheel to identify any dents or cracks.
For bent alloys, we use specialised equipment to carefully position the wheel and apply controlled pressure to straighten it.
The key is finding the perfect balance, too much pressure can cause further damage, while too little won’t achieve a proper restoration. We make gradual adjustments until the wheel is restored to its original shape.
Precision CNC Machining
Each alloy wheel is mounted on a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathe.
A diamond-tipped cutter is used to remove a thin layer of alloy from the face of the wheel, creating a precise, smooth finish.
This process is controlled by a computer to ensure accuracy and consistency so each of your alloy wheels has an identical finish.
Final Inspection and Wheel Assembly
Once the alloy wheel refurbishment is complete, we carry out a thorough inspection to ensure the work meets our highest standards.
Next, the valves, including TPMS, are refitted, and your tyres are mounted back onto the wheels.
The wheels are then rebalanced using aluminium weights, and the centre caps are securely refitted.
